Discussion with a drone manufacurer

Evaluation before Implementation

Drone logistics can make existing logistics chains more flexible in healthcare, but also in other economic sectors. However, if local conditions are not taken into account in advance, a drone project can quickly become a nightmare in terms of cost accounting. It therefore makes perfect sense to conduct an upstream investigation of all factors relevant to the project.

The aim of the evaluation is to analyze the technical possibilities, develop proposals for necessary adaptations to internal processes, and determine the expected costs as a prerequisite for a cost-benefit analysis. The results of the analysis are based on years of experience from other projects, a cost-benefit analysis developed in-house, and observation of market developments.

The concepts and calculations presented in the results are to be understood as guidelines, but due to the rapidly changing legal framework, they can only be the starting point for a project. However, the most important questions, such as transportation demand, necessary changes in process organization, and the costs involved, are answered in advance. A fundamental decision on the introduction of drone logistics can thus be made on the basis of facts before implementation.
